Identify Version of Windows OS Installed
To download the appropriate ProviderLink VPS software, determine which version of the Windows operating system is installed on the computer:
- On the desktop of the computer screen, locate the My Computer icon.
- While hovering over the My Computer icon, right click the mouse.
- From the options that display in the pop-up window, click Properties to display the System Properties window.
- On the System Properties window, locate the operating system information.
- If Windows XP is installed, it is a 32-bit system.
- If Windows 7 is installed, note if it is a 32-bit or a 64-bit system.
- Click OK to close the window.
