What should I do now?
|
Welcome to MGO Certification. In order to become certified to transact EDI, you must first decide if you will be handing the EDI in-house or through a Third Party Service.
- Complete the Supplier EDI Information Form.
- Create a support ticket at crt.covisint.com and attach the form from step 1 to request certification testing.
You will be contacted by a Covisint Certification Agent as soon as the CRT ticket is assigned. (Tickets are assigned in the order in which they are received).
What is a Third Party Service?
A third party service provider is a company that is already EDI certified and will send and receive EDI on your behalf.
- If you direct connect via Covisint, GM will pay for your EDI traffic between your company and GM.
- If you use a third party service provider, you will be responsible for any charges.

Testing COMM Code
For testing purposes GM's COMM code is ZD1:ZZ. You will send all tests to ZD1:ZZ. In order to test, you must have a three-character COMM code assigned for your company. (If you do not have a COMM Code, complete the Request a New COMM Code form and Covisint will assign a COMM Code to you).
Production COMM Code
For production purposes, GM's COMM codes are BFT:ZZ and MZ7:ZZ. Once testing is complete you will need to have a trading partner relationship between your three-character COMM code and BFT:ZZ as well as with MZ7:ZZ. This will enable you to receive production data from GM, once certification is complete and a cutover date is assigned. (If you do not have a COMM Code, complete the Request a New COMM Code form and Covisint will assign a COMM Code to you).
