INDIRECT - EDI CERTIFICATION
What should I do now? Welcome to Indirect (Non-Product) Certification. In order to become certified to transact EDI via Covisint, you must first complete the following items:
  1. Print and sign the Trading Partner Agreement (US) and/or Trading Partner Agreement (CAN)
    • If shipping to US and located in US, submit the TPA(US) only
    • If shipping to US and located in Canada, submit both TPA(US) and TPA(CAN)
    • If shipping to Canada and located in Canada, submit the TPA(CAN) only
    • If shipping to Canada and located in US, submit both TPA(US) and TPA(CAN)
  2. Mail the signed Trading Partner Agreement along with the (Indirect) Supplier Information Sheet to:  Gery Major, Mailstop 483-631-650, 31 Judson Street, Pontiac, MI 48342.

Important:  Testing cannot take place until the Supplier Information Sheet and the Trading Partner Agreement(s) are received in the mail.

  3. A certification agent will contact you once the Supplier Information Sheet and Trading Partner Agreement(s) have been received.
Sender/Receiver IDs Testing COMM Code
For testing purposes GM's COMM code is ZD5:ZZ. You will send all tests to ZD5:ZZ. In order to test, you must have a three-character COMM code assigned for your company. (If you do not have a COMM Code, complete the Request a New COMM Code form and Covisint will assign a COMM Code to you).

Production COMM Code
For production purposes, GM's COMM codes are CNQ:ZZ and SMD:ZZ. Once testing is complete you will need to have a trading partner relationship between your three-character COMM code and CNQ:ZZ as well as with SMD:ZZ. This will enable you to receive production data from GM. (If you do not have a COMM Code, complete the Request a New COMM Code form and Covisint will assign a COMM Code to you).
